Traditional Vineyard
• Between sky and sea, where the Pyrénées meet the Méditerranean, the vines of Banyuls and Collioure are undoubtedly some of the most beautiful in the world.
Coming from a traditional wine-growing family, Jean-François Deu, a man of strong character, is carrying on the tradition with 9ha of vines. He creates wines from Collioure and Banyuls with the grape varieties Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache noir and Carignan.
Vines on terraces and the fierce determination of the winegrower requires that traditional methods be respected. Jean-François ploughs with one of the last mules in the area, thus paying homage to his late uncle, the last Banyuls mule driver (traginer means mule driver in Catalan).
Since 1997 he has opted for the production of organic wine.

Full-bodied, strong and robust wines

Banyuls Grand Cru (aged 6 to 15 years in oak barrels), Banyuls Blanc, Banyuls Rimage and Collioure are carefully elaborated in the picturesque cave of Mas Axter, in the heart of the Banyuls hinterland.
From apéritifs to dessert, let yourself be tempted by these vines that breathe the soil they come from.
And if you'd like to meet the "man with the mule" in Banyuls, Jean-François Deu invites you to his vines.
The beauty of the landscape and the tasting of his wines will be more powerful than any words.
